Finally after more than a mth of job applications, i finally went for an interview for the post of asst engineer at AFPD located at Tampines beside the new uncompleted building of SCDF HQ-2nd Div. AFPD was a merger of Toshiba and Matsushita Company. The building was only about 3 years old. It deals in producing TV plasma, LCDs and lots more. Actually when the building was newly build 3 years ago, i've been there. At that time, i was with ISS cleaning company assigned to perform floor cleaning and waxing. Never thought that i would be stepping in there again. Hehhe... The journey there was tedious especially when im expected to walk to the main gate 1 which was about 20mins walk from the bus stop?? I worn my white long sleeved shirt with a black pant. Wow... Its been a long time ever since i wear smartly.. :-P I reached the main reception at 2.50pm, 10-mins earlier than the stated time. While filling up my application form, i could only see 2 person attending the interview, me and another malay guy aged around 18-21? He looks young and he's not even wearing a formal attire. I guess, he is still schooling or probably he just looks young.. I don't know what post he's applying cos i didn't get a chance to talk to him. The interview went on smoothly except for my non-stoppable sweat.. LOL.... First, i was interviewed by 2 engineers (a group that was shortage of 1 engineer), and secondly by the HR of AFPD.. Actually i was hoping to be interviewed by the Japanese lady Yuriko that had been all this while arranging for my interview.. But instead, i got interviewed by her colleague.. *sigh* The timing of the work was indeed bad.. A 12hr shift work. 4 days morn, 2 days off and 4 days night. Timimg is 8.30 (a.m/p.m) -8.30 (a.m/p.m). It also means that i'll have abnormal off days. I was also told that every working day actually stands for 9.5hr of normal working hours and 2.5hr OT. Wow... Thats gonna make the salary scale jump to a boom... Nevermind shall just wait and see... Tomorrow is car renting collection day in the morning. Yet im not yet asleep.. She's gonna scold me if she knows.. *sshhhh*... Sat is gonna be an important day for Winnie and me as we celebrate in advance our 1st year together which which actually falls on the 21st Jan 2004 (Hari Raya Haji).. Isn't it fast...? I guess even i was shocked.. Gots lots of stuff for her.. *(secret)* packs of gift (wah, dah macam hantaran), a red rose (yet to be bought) plus an Automatic Toyota Vios as her means of transportation and me (her driver)... Hehhe... :-P K gotta go and sleep cos im driving la tomorrow.. Nite to all..
