Being an organiser is certainly not an easy task for someone that is inexperienced. I undertook the responsibilities as a chalet organiser for my branch so as to have the last celebration with the operators due to shutting down of the night shift. I've booked the Downtown East Costa Sand chalet with a bbq pit on friday 4th August at a cost of $100 per day. It was a so called package which includes a 2 wild wild wet tickets and 3 canvas carrying bag with wild wild wet designs on it. Damn was it expensive. Upon arrival, i got shock to witness the size of my chalet, it was like a small hotel room. Gosh, most likely would suit a couple instead of a group of 28 pax. To top it up, it was on the 2nd storey, so "leceh"... It was lucky enough that i got to know a place to order all bbq foods, therefore lessens my burden of buying food and so on. Total cost of bbq foods plus utensils? It was $391 plus delivery. Total spent was around $535 for the whole event. The point is, its not the money that makes me go headache, it was more to organising and calling each and everyone about the chalet, where to meet, wat time, where, how to go there, especially when liasing with my malaysians operators. There goes my bill for this month. I dare not comment on others about them taking up the role of an organiser, but for me as an organiser, i definitely would like to make my guest feel happy and satisfied with the whole bbq event. First thing first, was the wild wild wet. 3 of us (2 female operators plus me) paid $12.90 each to enjoy a 1.5hr water theme park, chialat.. But most important was, all of us are happy with the ride despite of the short playing time. We played the Tsunami and the ular ride. It was almost similar to Fantasy Island but i guess Fantasy Island would have more rides compared to wild wild wet. Now for the bbq stuff, i took 0.5hr just to start up a fire. Hahha... ;-) Overall, i am one of the few last man standing chef despite my my overcooked corn.. I guess out of 10 corn, only 1 is edible.. Hahha.. After the whole bbq event, about 92 % of us started drinking liquor. Of course exclude me and my boss.. So Winnie do read this, EXCLUDE ME.. Hahha... Syng awak... The overall bbq event seems to be a success as i can see, all of us were happy on the nite itself.. I am satisfied with the whole thing but would try to avoid being an organiser again. ;-) Hehhe..
